Why Galvanized Wire?

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Many innovations arise in the sectors of metal and industry with galvanized wire comes to our life. Briefly, we may think that galvanization is a component which extends working life of metal. Regarding technical specifications, there is not to understand alloy composes of zinc and aliminium. Galvanization has got many fields of usage such as secturies of wire, metal plate, iron and metal. It is mostly used in wire sector. In addition galvanization protects wire from external factor, protecting general structure of wire and provides long working life.

The fact of too much eliminating these blemishes by sandpapering…

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

The fact of too much eliminating these blemishes by sandpapering is likely to degrade the thickness and the function of protection of zinc. To accept these visual defects constitutes a tranquillity and quality stamp for many years.

            A thermolaquage by powder polyester with high adherence can supplement hot galvanization with soaked after manufacture. It goes without saying the imperfections of aspect inherent in galvanization remain apparent. This coloured completion ensures an additional behaviour the corrosion estimated from 10 to 20 years.

Galvanized Wire

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Galvanized wire’s existence is longer than other wires. So lots of wire company use galvanized wire.  Usage of galvanized wire increases day by day. Galvanized wire is used in  lots of fields. Galvanized wire provides increasing the durability against erosion.

Significant points on wire drawing

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

galvanized-wireWire drawing is started with cleaning iron oxide layer which is very hard and oxide layer on wire rod. This oxide layer is cleaned by two process.
First process of cleaning oxide layer is via chemical. Oxide layer of high carbon wire rod is usually cleaned by this process.  It is cleaned by unit of phosphating.
This process is explained following items.
Firstly, hydrochloric acid and oxide layer on wire rod is reacted and surface of wire rod is cleaned completely.
Secondly, wire rod, which is emanated from acid, is rinsed by water the way that never being acid on surface.
After that it plunges to chemical said activation. This process is used to accelerate reacting zinc phosphate.
Wire rod, which is emanated from pondage of activation, plunges tank of zinc phosphate 60 C˚.
And finally by plunging tank of passivation, process of zinc phosphate is completed. Passivation is used for stopping iron and zinc reacting in here.

Flux coating before zinc coating

Monday, December 7th, 2009

galvanized-wireFlux coating is last process before zinc coating, we need to look content of flux in here. Flux, before zinc coating, consists of %50 zinc chloride and %50 amonium chloride alloy. These two chemicals have same function. Amonium chloride provides metal surface not to be oxidized until inserting zinc pondage and burns on zinc pondage. Zinc chloride simplifies sticking zinc by coating metal surface.

Significant points on zinc coating

 It is necessary to be sanitary area of coating;

The process of surface cleaning is done by acid. Two types of acid is used on surface cleaning. These are sulfuric (H2SO4) and hydrochloric (HCI) acids. Since sulfuric acid is more dangerous than hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid is usually preferred. Hydrochloric acid is bought %30 density and is used by weakening %18 with water. Hydrochloric acid, which was weaken until %18 density, cleans impurity like oxide, grease, soap on metal surface.

Better view with purposes of decorative

galvanized-wireBetter view with purposes of decorative;

Coating zinc to surface of iron composes more lustrous and smooth surface.

Increasing the durability against erosion and abrasion;

Coating surface, which was a lustrous surface at first, occurs a grey protective zinc sheet by blinding.

Hot dipped galvanized is coating process that has the best and longest existence of maintenance about maintenance of zinc and metal surface. This process provides a sturdy coating against exterior influence and alloy sheet that occured on surface of material as a result of composing a metallurgy link  between zinc and coated material.

All surface of steel material, which was dipped to molten zinc on galvanized coating, is coated zinc with the process of hot dipped galvanized.

Features of Galvanized Wire

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

galvanized-steelPurpose is to extend wire’s existence. There are low carbon wire and high carbon wire on production of galvanized wire. Low carbon wires; 1006-1008-1010-1018. And high carbon wires; 1045-1065-1080

- Increasing the durability of maintenance against corrosion

By reacting atoms of oxygen and iron, to prevent composing iron oxide and to extend existence of iron -1010-1018. And high carbon wires; 1045-1065-1080

What is galvanized wire?

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

galvanized-wireGalvanized wire means; wire coating zinc. Galvanization was qualified as a protective covering on steels and wires that were used industrial applications with occuring galvanized wire and galvanized steel. Because galvanization, namely protective covering is the most important factor to prevent corroding galvanized steel and galvanized wire.

Nowadays, galvanized wire is mostly used production of wire fabric, pin, fence, barbed wire, razor wire, grill, cable and energy line and lots of fields.
