Hot dip galvanizing offers a double protection to steel: an electrochemical protection cathodic effect which does not let corrosion extend in the event of surface wound and a physical protection barrier by screen which insulates steel. The lifespan of galvanization depends on two parameters:

As an indication and according to these criteria the average longevity of the zinc coating varies between 10 and 30 years
